Online Bookclub

This July marks one year since Page Wizards Book Club went live on the Goodreads platform!

With a passion for reading and an interest in imagining impossible and magical scenarios, books are something that the Page Wizards can come together to discuss.

Once a month our reading theme changes, our members vote on four books that are chosen at random by the book clubs two moderators, and the winner is the book of the month! Sundays at 10am we meet up on the Goodreads platform for book club discussion.

We’ve read through some decent books, and some hard to get into books in the last year, but there is something so satisfying about finding a DNF (Did Not Finish) that you are mutually discovering with other like minded book lovers. Another exciting aspect of bookclub, is the reading limit for the week. If we are to read the first 100 pages, but its a gem of a book that you cant put down, and you surpass the page count for the week, you are now obliged to keep spoilers out of that weeks meetings. Its really something to be ahead of the required reading pages and to see how everyone is predicting the following events that you are already privy to.

If you’re interested in joining our bookclub information can be found at both the bookclubs Instagram and Goodreads!

Books are worth having if only as to keep all of those bookmarks warm and cuddly, but in all reality the value of a book you can hold in your hand, flip the page of, and spill your tea on, is as much apart of the journey in that tale as the story itself.
